Bookins.com
We've only been members of Bookins.com since July 2006 and already we're sold.

Bookins is a book exchange service that allows you to trade books through the mail. You set up a want-list, with each book assigned a point-value. You set up a trade-list, again with each book assigned a point-value. (Hard back books have higher point-value, as do rare books.) When a book on your trade-list matches a book on someone's want list, you are sent an email notification and provided a FREE shipping label. You simply mail your book to the person on the postage-paid shipping label. When the book has been received, your "account" will be credited with the point-value of the book. At that point, the computer looks through your want list to see if any of your books with the point-value earned are available. If so, they will automatically arrive in your mailbox from the other Bookins member, and your credit card will be charged a modest fee for postage. ($3.99 at the time of this writing.)

We find the service to be an affordable way to get books, and after reading them you can always relist them! We've been pleased with the quality of every book we've received.

Uh-huh. Right. What's the catch?
There is no catch! It's just another great service for book lovers like us!
